What Is A Grant?
A non-Federal entity that receives a subaward from a pass-through entity to carry out part of a Federal program; but does not include an individual that is a beneficiary of such program. A subrecipient may also be a recipient of other Federal awards directly from a Federal awarding agency.

What is a closeout email?
Answer: The closeout email will be sent to the individual who will receive notifications once the grant has ended, any required closeout materials will be sent or notification will be sent to that email. The EBiz POC is likely to be an organization’s chief financial officer or authorizing official. The EBiz POC authorizes representatives of their organization to apply on behalf of the organization . Proposal A written application, often accompanied by supporting documents, submitted to a foundation or corporate giving program in requesting a grant.

A. Seed money A grant or contribution used to start a new project or organization. Seed grants may cover salaries and other operating expenses of a new project. Program amount Funds that are used to support a particular program administered internally by a foundation or corporate giving program. In-kind contribution A contribution of equipment, supplies, or other tangible resource, as distinguished from a monetary grant. Some corporate contributors may also donate the use of space or staff time as an in-kind contribution.

An Institutional Review Board is a committee that performs ethical review of proposed research.
